I recently took a sleep study?
I went and had asleep study had and I just found out that my, results came back that I have mild symptoms of sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome. What would be the out come? I was told that It was not sever enough to need a cpap machine so what would the do?
When I called to speak to the Doctors, they told me the results and said that they could not fit me in until September.
Even if you have a mild sleep apnea, you should know more about your results from the sleep study. Knowing this information can make a difference in your future treatment. For example:
* if you know that you sleep on your side better than on your back, you are already qualified for positional therapy for sleep apnea.
* if you know that you breathe with your mouth open, this means that you may have an ineffective CPAP treatment with a nasal mask or nasal pillow. However, you can be more successful with a CPAP full face mask.
* if you know that you have central sleep apnea, you will need medication besides CPAP therapy.
I have also mild sleep apnea and keep it under control with positional therapy.
